Description

While a lot of these stories deal with all the shenanigans we pulled in liberty ports in the four corners of the globe, most of the time we were haze grey and underway. So sit back and enjoy reading about a navy that in all probability, no longer exists.

In the time of the Vietnam War, if you were a young man coming of age, you had two choices: Be drafted to Vietnam, or join a department that Vietnam had no use of. I chose the latter, and joined the Navy. It'll be fun, they said. See the world, they said. Well, it wasn't all fun and games. Not one to dwell on the unpleasant, I've compiled some of my fonder memories of the Navy, before they're lost to obscurity forever. Ever play tag with the ocean?
